		<description>Atonement always confused me, both the book and the movie.  Briony thinks for 5 years that Robbie attacked Lola, and all of a sudden she &quot;realizes&quot; it was Paul?  How did that work?  I&#039;m not sure how Briony knew about Cecelia and Robbie ever briefly meeting either.  Maybe Atonement isn&#039;t &quot;that&quot; kind of story.

 To me, I have a better time buying James McAvoy and Saoirse Ronan as siblings than Ronan and Keira Knightly.</description>

I think the publishers were reaching with that &quot;foremost scholar&quot; tag and probably just ended up exposing their author to ridicule. I&#039;m currently reading The People&#039;s Queen by Vanora Bennett which is also about Alice - I don&#039;t know if it&#039;s more or less accurate but so far it&#039;s a much better read.</description>
